Is the discharge of thick, yellowish, and sticky fluid hours after intercourse or thinking about lust considered semen (maniyy), prostatic fluid (madhiy), or normal discharge? And is it true that semen (maniyy) discharged while awake does not necessitate ghusl (ritual bathing) but only wudu' (ablution)?

If there is doubt about the type of discharge from a woman's private parts, whether it is mani (seminal fluid) or madhi (pre-seminal fluid), one may choose between the two; this is the view of the Shafi'i school. If it is not discharged with lust, then it is not mani, but rather madhi or wadi (a thick white discharge that sometimes follows urination). In such a case, ghusl (ritual bath) is not obligatory, and only the clothes and body need to be purified from it. It is recommended to consult a psychiatrist to get rid of obsessive thoughts (waswasa).
