Is seeking livelihood in one's homeland near family impermissible (haram)? And is terminating employment while abroad impermissible (haram)?

It is a person's good fortune to have their sustenance in their own country; and travel is a piece of torment. So there is no harm in asking Allah Almighty to make your sustenance in your country, and there is no harm in ending your work while traveling and returning to your country, as long as this does not violate a contract or condition with the entity you work for, and as long as it does not lead to the ruination of yourself or those you support.
