The answer

The prohibition of using the right hand for ' (cleaning oneself after defecation or urination) has been established. This prohibition, according to the majority of scholars, signifies a disliking of tanzih (reprehensible but not strictly forbidden) rather than outright prohibition (tahrim). It is preferable to use the left hand for removing impurities because the dictates prioritizing the right for all acts of honor and respect, and prioritizing the left for actions contrary to that, such as entering the restroom and performing istinja'. Authentic hadiths have been reported confirming that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, preferred to start with the right in all his affairs, and his right hand was for his purification and food, while his left was for his elimination and anything else that was unpleasant.
