What is the explanation of "al-ara'ik"?

"Arā'ik" is the plural of "arīkah," and it is interpreted as couches or divans, especially those found in "ḥijāl" (which are small, dome-shaped structures covered with cloths). An "arīkah" is only called such if it combines both the couch/bed and the "ḥijlah," along with bedding and decorations upon it. If the couch/bed or the "ḥijlah" is separate, it is not called an "arīkah."
