Is it permissible not to pay debts (credit cards and phone bills) to non-Muslim entities in Australia, after they refused to renew the residency and requested departure from the country without a clear reason, knowing that the questioner is willing to pay if allowed to stay or return later?

A Muslim must be trustworthy, fulfill covenants, and possess good character, for treachery and betrayal are forbidden in Islam, whether committed against a Muslim or a non-believer. A Muslim must respect the contract with the country in which he lives or to which he travels. It is not permissible for him to betray it, defraud it, or unlawfully consume its wealth, as long as it has secured his entry and protected him and his wealth. That country has the right to admit or deny entry to whomever it wishes, and a Muslim has no right to bring in his family or reside there permanently. It is not permissible to take the wealth of non-believers through treachery. Therefore, wealth taken unlawfully must be returned.
