What should we do regarding a sister who is suffering from jinn possession and black magic, which has led to her abandoning her studies and prayers, and her inability to listen to the Quran, and how should we deal with this situation, especially with exams approaching and the deterioration of her psychological state?

What has befallen this girl is Allah's decree and destiny, so she must be patient, seek reward from Allah, return to Him, and frequently repeat, "Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return."

Her family should strive to treat her with legal ruqyah (incantation) from the Quran and Sunnah, such as Surah Al-Fatihah, Ayatul-Kursi, Surah Al-Ikhlas, Al-Mu'awwidhatayn (Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Nas), and the concluding verses of Surah Al-Baqarah, while consistently performing them. The person afflicted by magic may also go to a trustworthy raqi (one who performs ruqyah).

The treatment also involves supplication and seeking refuge with Allah, and reciting the prescribed daily invocations (awrad and adhkar) from the Prophet, peace be upon him, morning and evening.

It is strictly forbidden to go to sorcerers and soothsayers, as they only increase the supplicant's illness.

It is permissible to use remedies made from permissible herbs, medicines, oil, and the like, and it is permissible to recite over them.

Signs of a person afflicted by magic may sometimes include epilepsy, unexplained changes in character, and the appearance of uncharacteristic behaviors.
