Is there a supplication that is recited once in a lifetime, like the widely circulated supplication of the the Throne (Du'a al-'Arsh), and is it invalid?

The aforementioned supplication is falsely attributed to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. As for the supplication for distress: "There is no god but Allah, the Almighty, the Forbearing; Lord of the heavens and the earth, and Lord of the Magnificent Throne," it is an authentic supplication narrated by Al-Bukhari.
