What should I do with a human bone that I acquired for medical studies and no longer need, especially since I do not know whether it belonged to a Muslim or not?

The bones of deceased Muslims must be buried and honored. It is not permissible to sell, buy, or circulate them for examination or study. Whoever finds the bones of a Muslim must wash them, pray over them, and bury them in a pure place. If the bones were taken from Muslim graves, they are only to be buried. However, if they were taken from non-Muslim graves, they are not to be washed or prayed over; rather, they are only to be buried.
