If someone abandons a sin out of fear of Allah, Allah will reward them, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "And if he intended to do a bad deed and did not do it, Allah writes it down with Him as a complete good deed." And indeed, abandoning sin out of fear of Allah increases faith, just as one who refrains from an unlawful gaze will have Allah replace it with a faith whose sweetness he finds in his heart. Allah does not hold one accountable for mere fleeting thoughts as long as they do not turn into determination, action, or speech. To fill emotional emptiness, fill your heart with the love of Allah and the love of those whom Allah has commanded us to love, associate with righteous women, seek beneficial knowledge, make the Qur'an your close companion, read the biography of the Prophet and the righteous predecessors, participate in the concerns of the Ummah, and let your concern be your salvation on the Day of Resurrection and the rescue of the heedless.
