Is it permissible to give the vowed amount to relatives, and what is the ruling on this vow?

The statement: "My Lord, if a certain thing happens, I will give out a sum of money for the sake of Allah," is a vow contingent on the occurrence of that thing. The people of knowledge disliked rushing into vows, but whoever vows an act of obedience to Allah Almighty, contingent on the occurrence of a specific matter, must fulfill it if the contingent matter occurs, due to the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Whoever vows to obey Allah, let him obey Him." If what the vow was contingent upon is realized, there is no impediment to giving the sum to relatives such as a brother, sister, father, or mother, if you did not specify in your intention that it was for others.
