Did the Prophet Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, visit or pass through Egypt?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

The life of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was confined to the Hijaz, and he did not leave it except on a few occasions:

- Before the prophethood: He traveled to Ash-Sham twice: the first time with his uncle Abu Talib for trade, and the second time for Khadijah's trade, may Allah be pleased with her.

- After the prophethood: It is not confirmed that he went beyond the lands of Ash-Sham. In the incident of Al-Isra’ wal-Mi’raj (the Night Journey and Ascension), he reached Bayt Al-Maqdis (Jerusalem), and the furthest region he traveled to in his غزوات (military expeditions) was Tabuk.

- It is not confirmed that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, entered the land of Egypt, neither before nor after his prophethood.
