Is a congregational Adhan at one time with the voices of 12 muezzins prescribed [by Islamic law]?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Some scholars have permitted a number of people to call the Adhan at the same time. Thus, it is permissible for them to line up one after another, or to call the Adhan together at once, except for Maghrib, for which only one person should call the Adhan. If there are many muezzins and they fear that the time will expire and they do not have enough time to arrange themselves, they may all call the Adhan together, provided that each one of them calls it for himself. However, calling it individually or in sequence is more preferable if time permits.
