Is Marwan ibn al-Hakam a Companion (Sahabi) or the son of a Companion, and what are the names of his father and mother?

Marwan ibn al-Hakam was from the Quraysh, Umayyad clan, and a cousin of Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him). He was born two years after the Hijra. Ibn Hajar, in "Al-Isabah," considered him among the Companions. He was counted among the jurists, and a number of Tabi'in jurists narrated from him. He served as the governor of Medina during Muawiyah's caliphate, and his council was a council of knowledge. He passed away in the 65th year of the Hijra. As for his father, he embraced Islam on the day of the Conquest [of Mecca] and met the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
