Who is the venerable Companion Al-Arqam ibn Abi Al-Arqam?

Al-Arqam ibn Abi al-Arqam, whose name was Abd Manaf ibn Asad, was the seventh person to embrace Islam. His house was located on Mount Safa and served as a meeting place for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and his companions until their number reached forty men, whereupon they departed from it. He participated in the battles of Badr, Uhud, and all other major campaigns. He passed away in the fifty-fifth year of the Hijra.
