Marital life is built upon patience and gratitude. Allah has encouraged supplication during tribulation. The wife should complain to Allah and supplicate with the du'as (supplications) narrated from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, during distress and worry, such as the du'a of Yunus and the du'a of distress. As for the treatment of evil eye and envy, it has been mentioned in previous fatwas. Regarding the wife seeking fatwas from scholars, the husband should suffice her from needing to ask; otherwise, it is permissible for her to go out to seek fatwas while observing the Islamic guidelines, and he is not allowed to prevent her. As for Ruqyah Shariah (Islamic incantation), she can perform it herself or with the help of her husband or one of her mahrams (unmarriageable kin). The wife should turn the page on the past, forgive and pardon her husband, as there is great virtue in this, especially between spouses. She should also remember his good qualities so that marital life may continue.
