What is the ruling on working in the accounting profession? Is it permissible to record accounting entries related to usurious interest, which resembles a historical record of the event, especially given the existence of fatwas prohibiting it? And what are the legitimate alternatives available to the Muslim accountant to avoid falling into this prohibition?

Accounting work in interest-based institutions is forbidden, for this world is a prison for the believer. A believer will never find that he has lost anything he gave up for the sake of Allah. Allah Almighty says: "And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out And will provide for him from where he does not expect. ... And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him ease in his affair." As for the one who is compelled and finds no other work to meet his needs and the needs of those he supports, it is permissible for him due to necessity, but he must search for other lawful work, and if he finds it, he must leave the forbidden work.
