What is the ruling on the work of an accountant who records accounting entries and monitors bank interest based on a management decision, and not his personal decision?

It is not permissible for a Muslim to work in recording accounting entries for usurious transactions or in following up on unlawful interest, even if the decision rests with someone else. This is because it falls under aiding in sin and transgression, which Allah has forbidden in His saying: "And do not cooperate in sin and aggression." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed the one who consumes usury, the one who gives it, the one who writes it, and its two witnesses, and they are all equal in sin.
