Is the first round of the Ifadah circumambulation, in which I passed the green marker before the intention of circumambulation and then intended to cut it short, invalidated? And am I considered as having circumambulated only five rounds due to the hesitation in counting the rounds?

Scholars have differed regarding the necessity of a specific intention for Tawaf:

1. The First Opinion (Hanbali Madhhab): A specific intention is required when aligning with the Black Stone. Whoever makes the intention after passing this alignment, their first circuit is invalid, and they must either repeat it or cancel it and add an eighth circuit.

2. The Second Opinion (The Majority of Scholars from the Hanafis, Malikis, and Shafi’is): Tawaf does not require a specific intention; the intention for the ritual (Hajj or Umrah) suffices, because the intention for an act of worship encompasses all its parts. This is the more preponderant and chosen view, as it offers ease and latitude for people.
