Does masturbation while fasting invalidate the fast without requiring expiation, and does eating after that invalidate the fast and make expiation obligatory?

Masturbation is forbidden according to most scholars, and if it occurs in Ramadan, the sin is greater. Whoever releases semen through masturbation has broken their fast and must refrain from eating and drinking for the rest of the day and make up that day. They must also repent for spoiling their fast and for eating after breaking it.
