Does the fast of one who masturbated or kissed his wife until semen was discharged without intercourse become invalid, and what are the consequences and does it necessitate expiation?

Masturbation is forbidden, and its prohibition is even stricter during Ramadan. Masturbation and foreplay with a woman until ejaculation are considered nullifiers of the fast. Whoever commits such an act must repent to Allah and make up the day that was invalidated; no expiation is required of him.
