What is the ruling on chatting online for entertainment, while observing Sharia guidelines, and does it fall under the description of "nor those who take secret lovers"?

Allah has forbidden men and women from taking 'akhdan' (friends/girlfriends/boyfriends), as He says: (muhsanat ghayra musafihatin wa la muttakhizati akhdan) "chaste, not unlawful sexual intercourses, nor those who take secret lovers" and (muhsinina ghayra musafihina wa la muttakhizi akhdan) "chaste, not unlawful sexual intercourses, nor those who take secret lovers." This prohibition includes all means of communication such as phone calls, chats, and direct meetings. Chatting websites today are often dens of corruption and traps of Satan; therefore, one must be cautious of them and utilize their time in what benefits them in their religion and worldly life.
