Will Allah forgive evil deeds and reward good deeds if the scale of good deeds outweighs the bad on the Day of Judgment?

Scholars have differed on the issue of one whose evil deeds outweigh their good deeds. What appears to be the case is that whoever's good deeds outweigh their evil deeds will be rewarded for all their good deeds, as Ibn al-Qayyim preferred. If one's good deeds are weighed against their evil deeds and the good deeds prevail, then these individuals are saved and victorious, in accordance with His (the Almighty's) saying: "And the weighing on that Day will be the truth. So as for those whose scales are heavy, it is they who are the successful. And as for those whose scales are light, those are the ones who have lost their souls, because they used to wrong Our verses." There are two opinions regarding one whose good deeds outweigh their evil deeds: Will the outweighed evil deeds be nullified, and will they be rewarded for all their good deeds, or will an amount equal to the outweighed evil deeds be deducted from the good deeds, with the effect of the prevalence remaining and only that being rewarded? The first opinion is preferred, which states that when good deeds prevail over evil deeds, the influence of the vanquished and outweighed is weakened, and the ruling becomes that of the prevailing.
