Is eyebrow trimming [tasfeeh] permissible or forbidden?

Shaping the eyebrows involves raising and styling them in a fixed, combed manner to fill in gaps and make them appear thicker. It is not permissible to undertake this if it compromises the completeness of ritual purity (tahara) or prayer (salat). This process may require removing excess hairs. If the removal is by plucking (namas), it is considered the forbidden namṣ. However, if it is by trimming or shaving, it is permissible according to the Hanbali school.
