Is the difficulty of joining the righteous brethren in the questioner's country, and the fear of harm that might befall him or his family as a result, considered a satanic delusion? And is it advisable to join brethren online as an alternative to a real righteous companion?
It is recommended to associate with believing youth, as this is one of the greatest means of remaining steadfast in religion, being diligent in honoring parents, and not succumbing to the whispers of Satan. Moreover, the tribulation of some young people may be due to their own mistakes or a test from Allah to distinguish the truthful from the hypocrite. The believer adheres to religion and avoids errors. The believer must maintain remembrance (dhikr) and supplicate to Allah for steadfastness. Whatever befalls a believer is good for him, whether it is adversity, for which he shows patience, or prosperity, for which he shows gratitude. Allah Almighty distinguishes the wicked from the good and purifies hearts through trials.
