Regret and self-accountability are good signs for returning to the truth, and one must not follow the footsteps of Satan. To purify the soul and preserve religion, one must: 1. Observe prayers with humility. 2. Draw closer to righteous company. 3. Stay away from singing, musical instruments, and forbidden amusements.

A Muslim must repent immediately from sins and not persist in them, and not deceive people in matters that anger God.
