These matters are acts of sorcerers and obedience to Satan in forbidden deeds, because they involve burning animals, which is prohibited, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "No one punishes with fire except the Lord of fire." They also involve wasting money and spoiling food, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "He disliked for you idle talk, excessive questioning, and wasting money." "Wasting money" means spending it in ways not prescribed by Sharia and exposing it to destruction. Therefore, it is obligatory to abandon them and rely instead on legitimate ruqyah.
