The answer

During the time of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and the Righteous Caliphs, Jumu'ah (Friday prayer) was not offered in more than one mosque in a town. Therefore, most jurists hold the view that it is not permissible to have multiple Jumu'ah prayers in a single town, except out of necessity, such as a mosque being too small, a long distance, or fear of sedition. Since the distance mentioned between the two mosques is difficult for most people, it is not permissible to prevent worshippers from performing Jumu'ah in the mosque closest to them. The threat must not be carried out, for it involves preventing the mention of Allah in His mosques and striving to ruin them, as Allah Almighty says: "And who is more unjust than one who prevents the mosques of Allah from having His name mentioned therein and strives toward their destruction?"
