What is the Sharia ruling on proposing to a girl when it is discovered that her maternal aunt committed an abomination, and must the engagement be broken off or continued?

A person is not held accountable for the crime of another, nor does he bear its burden, for Allah Almighty says: "And every soul earns not [consequence] except against itself, and no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another." And due to the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Indeed, no perpetrator commits a crime except against himself, and no parent commits a crime against his child, nor a child against his parent." Therefore, the engagement should not be broken off if the girl is righteous and upright, merely because her maternal aunt committed an abomination. And if the marriage takes place, he has the right to prevent the aunt from visiting her if he fears that she might corrupt her.
