Will what I have embarked upon, proposing to a girl without her parents' consent, and my mother's actions based on the intervention of my aunt and her threat of her displeasure, harm me in my relationship with my Lord, my father, and my mother?

If the son fears falling into fitna (temptation leading to sin) and zina (unlawful sexual intercourse) with a specific woman, it is permissible for him to marry her, even if his parents disapprove. This is because he would be committing the lesser of two harms. He is not obligated to obey his parents in marrying someone he does not desire, for "parents do not have the right to compel their child to marry someone he does not want, so he would not be undutiful, just as he would not be undutiful for not eating what he does not want." The aunt must repent to Allah for her attempts to make the parents disapprove of the girl through illicit means, as this causes the severing of kinship ties, which is a grave sin. The brother should not cut ties with her and should treat her kindly.
