What is the Isra and Mi'raj?
Source: FtawySummary from Ftawy's records · added here Sep 2, 2026
The Isra' and Mi'raj are among the greatest miracles of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. The Isra' is the journey from the Sacred Mosque in Mecca to Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, and the Mi'raj is his ascension, peace and blessings be upon him, to the higher heavens. This journey was a solace and a compensation for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, after the Year of Sorrow and the migration to Ta'if, to show him that horizons are open for the call to Islam and that Allah is the helper of His Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
