Is it permissible for a father to marry his daughter born of zina (unlawful sexual intercourse)? And is what some innovators do by marrying their daughter born of zina correct?

The majority of scholars are of the opinion that it is forbidden for a man to marry his daughter born of zina (fornication/adultery), because she was created from his fluid, and is therefore unlawful for him, based on the Almighty's saying: "Forbidden to you are your mothers and your daughters." Some scholars, however, hold the view that such a marriage is not forbidden, reasoning that zina does not establish lineage. However, the opinion of the majority is the correct one.
