What is the ruling on working in a call center for a satellite channel that includes religious channels and others that are not committed, bearing in mind that the nature of the work requires answering and transferring calls?

Media is a double-edged sword, and its role is either to reform or corrupt people. Those in charge of it must fear Allah concerning the creed and morals of the Ummah, and broadcast only what is beneficial, entrusting the task to reliable individuals. Broadcasting harm entails sin, while broadcasting benefit entails reward. If you work in a call center for a company that broadcasts channels, there is no harm in transferring calls to employees working on broadcasting permissible channels (such as the Quran channel). However, it is not permissible to transfer calls to employees working on broadcasting channels that contain شرعية violations such as music and forbidden movies, because that constitutes aiding in what is unlawful. If it is not possible to distinguish between employees, or if everyone's work is intertwined, then it is not permissible to work in this place. It is advisable to leave this job and seek another, for whoever fears Allah, He will make for him a way out and provide for him from where he does not expect.
