Does the inclination to do a certain job or go to a place where there are people known to commit sins prevent the acceptance of repentance? And is it permissible to refuse a job for fear of encountering someone known to commit sins, and consequently diminishing the husband's respect should such an encounter occur?

The fundamental principle regarding a woman's work is permissibility, unless there is a religious text that prohibits it, even though it is preferable for her to remain in her home. However, it is forbidden for her to work in a place where she intermingles with non-mahram (definition) men, due to the strife that results from it, except in cases of necessity, provided that she avoids intermingling, private seclusion (khalwa (definition)), and uncovering her body. As for confronting a specific person, the permissibility of working depends on the security from strife for both him and her; if the strife is secure, then there is no objection, otherwise, it is not permissible.
