Is the Gospel the word of God, or is the Qur'an the word of God?

All revealed books from God are His words, and this includes the Quran and the authentic Gospel before its distortion. Both were revealed by God, and belief in them is obligatory, as Allah Almighty says: "Say, 'We believe in Allah and what was revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Descendants, and what was given to Moses and Jesus.'" The terms "Spirit of Allah" and "Word of Allah" were applied to Jesus because Allah created him with the word "Be."
