What is the ruling on cursing those who attack and are ignorant of the facts in videos, and is it permissible to curse them? Is it permissible to supplicate against those who slander Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, that they be gathered with Abdullah ibn Ubayy ibn Salul, and against those who slander Umar ibn Al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, that they be gathered with Abu Lu'lu'ah Al-Majusi?

It is not permissible to curse a Muslim, because cursing one who does not deserve it is not among the manners of a Muslim. One should accustom oneself to guard their tongue from every vile and indecent word, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The believer is not a slanderer, nor a curser, nor an obscene speaker, nor an indecent speaker," and he also said: "It is not befitting for a truthful person to be a habitual curser."

The cure for cursing – after you have resolved to abandon it – is to continue striving against your lower self and repenting to Allah.

It is not permissible to curse a specific person whom you have seen committing a sin, according to the preponderant opinion, because they might repent. The same applies to supplicating against them that they be resurrected with the disbelievers. It is permissible to curse those who generally deserve to be cursed, such as saying, "May the curse of Allah be upon the wrongdoers."

Ibn Hajar Al-Haytami said: "It is not permissible to curse a specific individual, even if they are a transgressor."

Sheikh Ibn 'Uthaymeen mentioned that the difference between cursing a specific individual and cursing people who commit sins in general is that the former is forbidden and the latter is permissible, citing the Prophet's, peace and blessings be upon him, prohibition of cursing specific individuals among the polytheists.
