What is the Sharia ruling on a marriage where the husband's mother dislikes her son's wife?

If the marriage has been solemnized, the mother-in-law's dislike does not affect it, and one must strive to please her and treat her kindly. However, if the Sharia contract has not yet been concluded, it is not permissible to disobey parents if they command against marrying a specific woman, and their obedience is obligatory. But if one disobeys them, the marriage is valid, though one incurs sin for the disobedience, as the mother's consent is not a condition for the validity of the marriage.
