Does a young man's marriage to a woman without his parents' consent, with the birth of a child, and without violating customs, traditions, or شرعي (Sharia) norms, constitute disobedience to his parents?

If the conditions for a valid marriage are met, then the parents' disapproval of the wife or their not being consulted does not affect the validity of the marriage. Nevertheless, it is important to consult them and appease them, due to their right and their concern for their child's well-being. If their disapproval leads to their displeasure, then it is obligatory to seek their رضا (رضا: contentment/satisfaction), even if it means divorcing the wife if they insist on it. Indeed, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded Ibn Umar to divorce his wife whom his father disliked.
