What is the meaning of the Almighty's saying: {They are a garment for you, and you are a garment for them}?

The scholars interpreted the noble verse: "They are a garment for you, and you are a garment for them" to mean covering (ستر). Each spouse covers the other and prevents them from immorality. Arabs refer to family as covering and clothing (garment). It was also said that they are a bed for you, or a dwelling for you, meaning that some of you find tranquility in others. The Quranic expression encompasses closeness, adherence, covering, beautification, protection, enjoyment, and prevention, elevating human feelings above the animalistic level while simultaneously fulfilling the body's requirements.
