If the dealings and investments of the institution are unlawful, then it is not permissible to subscribe to its guarantee. Fear of destitution and poverty should not drive a Muslim to commit what Allah has forbidden, for sustenance is apportioned, and no soul will die until it has received its full sustenance and reached its appointed term. Therefore, one must fear Allah and strive to seek what is lawful.
