Is it permissible to say "a lie has been written upon you" to someone with the aim of warning them against lying, after verifying the falsehood of the words spoken?

The lie of the liar is recorded against him, and the truth of the truthful is recorded for him, based on the Almighty's saying: "And indeed, [appointed] over you are guardians, noble recorders, who know what you do," and His saying: "He utters no word except that with him is an observer, ready [to record]." However, it is better not to be certain about the recording of a lie, as the liar might repent, and thus it would not be recorded against him, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "The angel on the right is a trustee over the angel on the left. If a servant does a good deed, it is recorded for him as ten like it. If he does a bad deed and the angel on the left intends to record it, the angel on the right says to him: 'Hold off from it.' If he seeks Allah's forgiveness, it is not recorded, but if he remains silent, it is recorded against him."
