What is the ruling of Islamic law regarding a wife's request for divorce due to her husband's sexual impotence, especially if she remains a virgin after one month of marriage?

If a man's weakness in intercourse is temporary and not an illness that completely prevents it, then the wife does not have the right to annul the marriage. However, she may seek khul' (divorce at the wife's instance) if she is harmed. If the illness completely prevents intercourse and the wife was not aware of it or did not consent to it, then she has the right to annul the marriage after giving the husband a year's delay. The wife is advised to be patient, and the husband to seek treatment, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Seek treatment, for Allah, the Almighty, has not created a disease without creating a cure for it, except for one disease: old age." It is also incumbent upon the man to take medications that strengthen his desire to keep his wife chaste.
