Is the wife entitled to seek divorce due to her husband's constant travel, his inability to father children, and the way her husband's family treats her?

Much has been said by scholars regarding the permissible duration of a husband's absence from his wife. What we favor in Fatwa no. 100921 is that if a husband is absent from his wife for a period that causes her harm, she is permitted to request a divorce from him. However, it is preferable for her to be patient and discuss the matter with him. If he insists on his absence, she is then permitted to request a divorce.
