Does the Almighty's saying: "and it listened to its Lord, and was rightfully humbled" imply representation, because it is within the grasp of divine power?

"Athinat" (it gave ear/listened): It listened to and obeyed its Lord's command to split asunder, and it was rightfully due for it to obey, for He is the Exalted, who cannot be resisted. This meaning is what is narrated from the Salaf (pious predecessors). All creatures hear God's commands and obey Him in them. Some exegetes interpreted this as a metaphor, meaning that since there was no resistance from its splitting, this was tantamount to compliance and listening.
