This vision does not necessitate anything, but it is prescribed to give charity on behalf of the father, whatever is affordable, and its reward will reach him; for the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Will she have a reward if I give charity on her behalf?" He said: "Yes, so give charity on behalf of your mother." The scholars have unanimously agreed that charity and supplication benefit the deceased.
