What is the ruling on men listening to songs that feature the voices of young girls whose ages cannot be precisely determined?
There is no harm in listening to the singing of girls who have not yet reached puberty, as long as it is not accompanied by music and there is no fear of temptation. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, approved of two young girls singing in the house of Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, on the day of Eid, when Abu Bakr said: "Are there devil's flutes in the house of the Messenger of Allah?!" He replied: "O Abu Bakr, every nation has an Eid, and this is our Eid." He explained that it was a day of Eid, and that children are permitted to play on it, and that they are not yet accountable and were singing the songs of the Bedouins about courage and war.
