Strengthening certainty (yaqin) and trust in Allah Almighty occurs through contemplating the Qur’an, the cosmic signs, and the attributes of Allah, reflecting on the stories of the prophets and their miracles, frequently asking Allah for certainty and guidance, and associating with people of knowledge and certainty. It is also increased by sensing the meanings of Allah's strength, guidance, mercy, knowledge, and wisdom, for reliance upon Allah is based on faith in His strength, knowledge, and mercy. If certainty weakens or illusions overcome the heart, reliance upon Allah weakens.
