How do I acquire strong trust in Allah? And is it the same as reliance (tawakkul)?

The mention of reliance upon Allah (Tawakkul) appears in many verses and hadiths. However, the term "trust in Allah" (Thiqa billah) is not found in the Quran. It is mentioned in the Sunnah in a hadith that some scholars have deemed weak, while others have authenticated it. This hadith indicates a difference between the two terms, as conjunction (atf) implies distinctiveness, and true synonymy (taraduf) is rare in religious texts. Some scholars have adopted this distinction, considering reliance (Tawakkul) to be broader than trust (Thiqa), with trust being a component of reliance. Thus, seeking Allah's help (istianah) encompasses both trust in Allah and reliance upon Him.
