If the mother corrupts her daughter against her husband and prevents her from returning to him, then she is unjust and abusive, and she should not be obeyed in that. Rather, the wife must return to her home and live with her husband in kindness, because obedience to the husband is more obligatory, and he has more authority over her than her parents. The husband is permitted to prevent his wife from visiting her mother, or to prevent her mother from visiting her, if he fears she will corrupt her against him.
