How can there be justice in spending the night if the husband moves to another city with his second wife, while his first wife remains in her city, and then the husband returns to visit his first wife and children during his weekly or annual vacation?

If the first wife stipulates that her husband must reside in her country, then she has that right. The husband must be just between his two wives in dividing his time, unless one of them waives her right. However, if she does not stipulate that, then it is obligatory for her to obey him and move with him. If she refuses, she is considered disobedient (nashiz), and her right to the division of time is forfeited. The husband must be just upon his return to the first wife's country, and he is not to compensate her for what she missed due to her disobedience.
