How many times is the Prayer of Need (Salat al-Hajah) performed, and when can it be prayed, and is it better to pray it at a time when an answer to the supplication is expected?

What is prescribed for a Muslim is to worship according to what Allah and His Messenger have legislated, and the fundamental principle concerning acts of worship is that they are Tawqifi (dependent on divine textual evidence). Salat al-Hajah (Prayer of Need) has been mentioned in weak and denounced hadiths that do not establish a proof, such as the hadith narrated by Abdullah ibn Abi Awfa al-Aslami, which was reported by Ibn Majah. This hadith was deemed weak by al-Tirmidhi, Ahmad, and Ibn al-Arabi, and al-Albani stated that it is very weak. Al-Hakim described Fa'id ibn Abd al-Rahman as having narrated fabricated hadiths from Abi Awfa. Therefore, it is better to supplicate during the last third of the night, between the adhan and iqamah, after the prayers before the taslim, on Fridays, and at the time of breaking the fast, in response to Allah's saying: "Call upon Me; I will respond to you" [Ghafir: 60], and "And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me—indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me" [Al-Baqarah: 186], and "And to Allah belong the best names, so invoke Him by them" [Al-A'raf: 180].
